This brand new 120 acre complex is said to be the largest fishery in the UK.  The setting for this £750,000 fishery is the beautiful Kent countryside.  The site comprises of 2 Pleasure lakes, 2 Bookable Match Lakes, a Catfish Lake, a Specimen Lake and 2,000 metres of river bank along the River Beult. In total over 45 acres of prime water for all levels of anglers.   There is a permanent Snack wagon on site providing a full selection freshly cooked food and hot and cold drinks. When sport is busy arrangements can be made for food and drinks to be delivered to your peg.  There is a small tackle/bait shop on site that offers a full range of baits including maggots, boilies, pellets and ground baits. There is also a wide range of canned baits available. A good range of terminal tackle is also stocked however larger items of tackle are not stocked and should be sourced from local tackle shops.

Platforms

All pegs / platforms are constructed from timber, they are 1.25 mtrs square and are level.  The majority having level access onto them. There are no bump stops as yet fitted, or are there any designated disabled platforms.

Car Park

Car parks are level, constructed from densely packed hardcore.  Parking will be available behind pegs during the warmer months when the ground is suitable. At other times the management will transport disabled-anglers to and from their pegs.

Access

Access to all pegs is via a level densely packed hardcore pathway.

Toilets

Toilets are provided on site by way of a purpose built block. This block however does not have disabled toilets, But a disabled friendly toilet facility is available by way of a Disabled porta-loo next to the toilet block. During the summer months porta-loo’s will be available around the fishery.

Danglers Thoughts & Tips

We here at disabled-angler have no qualms in recommending a visit to this superb new fishery.  As yet we cannot comment on the fishing itself, it is too soon to tell what will be the best tactics & bait to use.  If the inaugural competition is anything to go by, then the fishing looks to be something very special indeed. Concessionary day tickets are available midweek.
