Lemington Lakes July 22nd 2006

Storm
clouds hit Lemington Lakes half way through the match on Saturday with 4" of
rain falling in 30 minutes. Thunder lightning and Gail-force
winds saw anglers that could; diving for cover in their cars,
others were left stranded huddled under broken brollies trying to
seek some relief from the elements. The storm hit so quickly
it was impossible to try and salvage bait and
equipment. Soaked to the skin having had broken poles
- umbrellas and bait which now no longer resembled anything they
had brought with them saw several anglers deciding that enough was
enough and who could blame them. Others who continued on
found that the fish had found their appetites after the storm and
started to put a few fish together in the last hour of the
match.

Dangler Gossip

You'll have to
keep an eye on these two Bucko, I'm sure I heard Wayne (smooth
talker) ask Lyn if she was any good at cooking-cleaning and making
rigs :)

Recognise these
two good looking chaps from maggot drowning website, tucking into a hearty
breakfast. Thank-you for your donation of a rod for the
guess-the-weight competition.
Thank-you
As always firstly
must go to all the anglers and those that helped to make the day a
success, raising money for our chosen charities and on this occasion
for braving the elements.
Thanks to Tony and helpers for weighing-in much appreciated chaps.
Thank-you to Debbie (lemington Lakes) for looking after everyone
with breakfasts - bait & for their generous prize for the
guess-the-weight competition
