Charities Cheque Presentation
October 20th 2007
Saturday 20th October 2007 saw
proceeds from this years fundraising totaling £3,829 being
handed over to our chosen charities
Rainbows Children's Hospice & Macmillan Cancer support. Once
again this was the cumulative efforts of many generous hard
working individuals that made up the Dangler-Team in 2007
Once again
Bucko our Charity Events Coordinator had organised the presentation to take place at Holy Farm and invited representatives from
Rainbows Children's Hospice & Macmillan cancer support.

John thanked this years Dangler-Team who are scattered all over the country for all their hard work
throughout the year and to everyone for their continued support, stating that if it wasn't for
the hard work certain individuals running matches up and down the
country we would never have achieved such a fantastic amount again
this year.
Thanks to the Dangler Fund
Raising Team 2007
No
stranger to running matches week in week out, our Northern fund
raising guru and Yorkshire Tykes top man Andrew Archer kindly ran the first match of the series
once again, this year at Lindholme Lakes. Equiped with a van full of Easter
raffle prizes to tempt anglers to hand over charity money and
through donations, Andrew started the Charities Championships
rolling with the sum of £304. Thanks mate we appreciate your
hard work (again)

It was then
the Turn of the other good looking Dangler fundraiser, other than myself
Matt Nutt and what a prolific fundraiser he is, Matt moved
venue this year to Alders Farm and through the support of his
sponsors GOT baits he raised a fantastic £1,584.00 Brilliant mate
we appreciate your continued support.

Then again it
was the turn of the Southern dangler-duo Vince Gould & Peter
Morton. All smiles this year I think Vince maybe warming to
Peter? or were those smiles because he wasn't pegged near him for once.
They
did the charities proud at Monk Lakes by raising £391.00 thanks
guys we love you, in a manly way you understand.

Itching to
get out there and raise a few bob for Charity again was our main
man Bucko. (Disabled-angler Charity events coordinator) and
as always he does a magnificent job in doing so.

Bucko and his
gang firstly visited The Riddings where £186 was added to
the charity pot

Birch House
lakes Raised £202

Holmes Farm
Raised £178

Misterton
Hall Raised £151 (Those Shorts Craig)

Holly Farm
Final Raised £708
Bucko has built
up quite an entourage over the years and he would admit that with
out his main supporter, the danglers first lady Linda Buxton things wouldn't
happen. Thanks Linda
To the
dangler helpers, Mick Ribbons and his lads, to Jake King &
Neil Jeacock to Roger and Linda (danglers secret raffle weapon)
thanks guys your help is much appreciated.

What's
Happening in 2008?
Bucko has already booked venues for next year
Andy is running another match up North and the Southern duo Vince & Peter
are running a match at Monks Lake. Matt has partnered up with Ray
Best and they are running a hundred pegger at Boddington reservoir
this promises to be a nice little earner as they say
So it looks like we'll be doing it all again in 2008
For 2008 the danglers are very pleased to welcome
on board our new major charity sponsor Woodford Plant-Hire. As you
know every year every penny which we raise goes to the charities
themselves. This would be impossible to do without the
backing and financial support of a major sponsor, covering
the cost of the trophies and Admin expenses, for this we are extremely
grateful.
