Castle Ashby June 24th 2006

Once again
the midlands fund raising gang headed for that very picturesque
venue Castle Ashby.
Having
already got 16 hopefuls booked on to the final at Holly Farm from
two previously successful fund raising events this year, it was
now time for the Castle Boys & Girls to fight it out for their
8 places on offer, and to help us raise even more funds for our
chosen charities for 2006
Francis House & Macmillan Cancer relief.

Welcome
Onboard

These events are
always good for making new acquaintances, putting names to faces from
forums and in this case officially welcoming a new member to the
fund raising team; Wayne Lambert, already a moderator on the Danglers
forum
he probably doesn't know whether he got press-ganged or he
volunteered his services :-) Wayne was also the top dangler on the
day and on his first ever proper match congratulations!
Thank-you
Firstly to John
Buxton (Charity Events coordinator) for his hard work not just for
his organisational skills on the day but for the months preceding
these events thank-you mate. Also to his lovely wife Lynn for
her cashier skills and this year for her acrobatic skills on the bank
:-) thankfully unhurt "I think you was pushed Lynn"
:-)
and to our new team member Wayne for the guess-the-weight
collection.
To Mick Hewlitt and all
his Staff at the fishery," great breakfast as
always".
To Patron Mark
Pollard (Fox International) big thank-you for the "Guess the Weight"
prizes, much appreciated.
And lastly to all the Anglers who took part in today's match and helped to raise
£406 which brings the running total up to £1,655.00 raised so far.
